The Department of Urology at our institution has emerged as a high-volume centre of excellence in minimally invasive urological care, catering to patients from Gujarat as well as neighboring states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and many others. The department consistently manages a high clinical workload, with each outpatient clinic seeing over 300 patients, reflecting our accessibility and the trust we’ve earned across regions. With over 2,200 laparoscopic surgeries performed, including more than 80 advanced 3D laparoscopic procedures, we exemplify precision, innovation, and dedication to patient-centered care.
Our services span the entire spectrum of urology: advanced stone management (PCNL, PUCL, URSL), prostate surgeries (laser prostatectomy and TURP), andrology and male infertility, and comprehensive management of benign and malignant diseases of the kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, and testis—emphasizing minimally invasive techniques. We have also successfully performed over 500 ESWL procedures, offering incision-free, non-invasive treatment for kidney and ureteric stones.
In the last year alone, our team completed over 850 major surgeries—including 240 PCNL, 140 laparoscopic, 129 TURP, 64 TURBT, and 170 URSL—along with more than 3,800 minor procedures, underlining our high surgical volume and clinical efficiency. We provide 24x7 urological services, managing intraoperative gynecological consultations and emergency urological trauma, including bladder injuries and penile fractures.
Academically, we have hosted eight LAPUROWORKSHOPS since 2009, with participation from national and international experts. We now proudly announce the 9th ADVANCED ROBOTICS AND LAPUROWORKSHOP 2025, scheduled for 6–7 September.
